Just Joined? What Now?

On joining our Club you will be issued with a bag tag and programme book which will cover the golfing year's activities.  Our main season and trophy competitions are competed for over the winter season (February to October) but there are competitions all year.

If you have been a member at another club before the easiest option is for you to come along to Club days and you will find out how our Club operates.  Most clubs are similar in their operation.  Just let the starter of the day know you would like to be made familiar with our Club days and he will put you in touch with one of our players.

However, if you are new to golf you may not be comfortable doing this at the beginning and would prefer to practise before joining our club days.  You are welcome, of course, to come along any time and play the course yourself and do a bit of experimenting.  It is probably a good idea to have a 'buddy' to play a few rounds with you and he/she can communicate some of the basic etiquette and rules of the game.  Once again, contact any of our committee for this.  It may also be wise at this stage to have a lesson with our golf professional, Chas Craig, just to put you right on the basic points of swinging a club.  Phone the Club, 03 578 4320, or contact our President or any committee if you wish to do this or contact Chas direct, on line at:  ccraigcoaching@gmail.com

Just remember we all started at the beginning so all those airshots (missing the ball) and duff shots have been experienced by everyone else (and yes, we are still having them!)

We're here for the fun and social contact and none of us are too serious and the easiest way to learn the rules is on the course with other players assisting.

All committee members' names are in the front of the Programme Book, so any problems at all, please let us know.

We hope you enjoy your membership and have many years of fun and friendship here with us.
